Guidelines for Using a Petrol Chainsaw
Like in any case, technology was invented to make life easier for people. Especially in todays hectic and fast moving lifestyle we want things that give us convenience. This is also in the case of inventing petrol chainsaws. But before we talk about petrol chainsaws, let us first delve into the aspects of what a chainsaw is all about.
A chainsaw is a mechanical saw which can be hand carried in order to cut across logs or wood structures. One may be powered by hydraulics, electricity or compressed air. The most common type is powered by a two-stroke engine called petrol chainsaws. Usually used by tree surgeons for cutting tree limbs, pruning, bucking and felling of trees as well as removing branches and foliage. It is also used for suppression in case of forest fires and for harvesting firewood.
The following parts of a petrol chainsaw are:

An electric motor of about 30 – 120 cm3 cylinder volume.

A sprocket and centrifugal clutch utilized as a driving mechanism.

A guide bar which is a long bar with measurements of 16 to 36 inches with a circular end made of alloy steel that can withstand wear and tear.

A cutting chain similar to that of a bicycle chain but without rollers with each segment having a small edgy blade called teeth.

A drive link allows for the lubrication of the oil around the bar.
Based on the following parts, it can be deemed that a petrol chainsaw is a very powerful tool. It can cut through trees and hard wood. So there are certain things that a tree surgeon or anyone using a chainsaw can exercise. Such necessary caution includes the following:

Reading the manual in case you buy it for the first time.

Sharpening it before use. It is because if the petrol chainsaw is dull it will need extra effort to cut through wood or could injure people.

Wearing gloves in case you are sharpening the edges to reduce cutting yourself because of the sharp edges.

Tighten the chain for about 1/32 of a single inch's measurement away from the so-called bar rails and bar span.

Pumping chain oiler to maximize the chainsaw's runtime.
